Welcome to One World University!
One World University is a private university in Mozambique. One World University is near Changalane town, 70 km south of the capital, Maputo. We are in the midst of pristine nature next to the beautiful Libombo mountain range. Where the typical university is embedded in urban life, we, like 70% of Mozambicans, are part of a rural area. Here we have built a modern campus, designed by the famous architect, Jan Utzon with ample space for garden and large-scale farming, wild nature and great facilities for intellectual studies and research. One World University has two faculties: Faculty of Pedagogy and Faculty of Fighting with The Poor. Each offers three-year full time on-site programs leading to a licentiate degree, as well as offering these for distance learners. One World University was established in 1998 by ADPP, a private national development organization. In 2005, One World University was accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education as an institution of higher learning. In 2011, One World University began offering its licentiate degrees to distance learners who use our study materials and our network of partner schools and tutors. One World University applies modern pedagogical principles and students are the driving force in their own and collective learning, in running the university and in acting in the community and on the national and international scene. It is our aim to form modern intellectuals who conquer knowledge and possess capacity to use it, not only within a profession, but as people struggling together with other people to solve the urgent challenges mankind is facing and will face in the decades to come. At One World University we therefore study facts and theories, we research and develop new knowledge, take action to solve pressing problems of our time and bring it to the public.
